How to Play CityTiles:
Place landscape tiles with the left mouse button to expand your city's resources. Right-click to discard unwanted tiles. The city will automatically build on suitable tiles. Keep an eye on your resources and gain more tiles by advancing in science. That's it—build, expand, and strategize!

best run yet

looks impressive!

I'm still preparing the update, but due to being sick, it took longer than I would have liked, sorry

(+1)

That's okay, take your time to recover and be well. I've been having fun with Loop Hero in the meantime (I tried out Death Crown and while I love the art, RTS is not my genre)

Why does the game sometimes restart all of a sudden? Does it mean you died, somehow? Or does it mean you completed the level or smt?

(+2)

The game will restart if you lose: you run out of money or tile cards.

Soon I will make an update where everything will be clearer and more beautiful.

Are there favorable interactions between adjacent tiles? Or optimal upgrades for certain tiles? Otherwise how can I optimize my gameplay?

(+1)

For now, the best way to optimize the game process is to place more green plains closer to the city and place forests and other improvements closer to the city. When the jam is over, I'll make an update that will make this process more meaningful and visual.

Thanks for the quick response, can't wait to see how you build on the concept!

Yeah, glad you like it. I tried really hard to make it look decent because I made it at the last hours. Inspired by Loop Hero.

No, sadly

Well, it's not a commercial pack, I made it specifically for the game. Perhaps, if I have no desire to develop this game, I will post the pack for free

I can pretty much see the inspiration! Amazing music as well, did you made it too?

Thank you! :) The music's not mine, it's from here: https://cryocrypt.bandcamp.com/track/fallen-kingdom
