The Jam's Over, But CityTiles is Just Getting Started?

Welcome to CityTiles!

In CityTiles, you’ll guide the growth of a city similar to Civilization 6, but with a twist—you can only influence the city by adding landscape tiles. Your task is to strategically place these tiles to enhance your city’s development.

How to Play:

City Overview: In the top left corner of the screen, you'll see your city’s resource indicators. Like in Civilization, culture expands your borders, population increases the number of tiles your city can work, and production dictates how many tiles the city can upgrade. Science advancements will reward you with additional cards to place.

Tile Placement: The city autonomously chooses where to build improvements. Tiles currently worked by the city will turn black and white. In the bottom right corner, you’ll find the next tile ready for placement. There are two types of tiles: Landscape and Improvement.

  - Landscape Tiles: These must be placed adjacent to existing tiles.

  - Improvement Tiles: These can be placed over an existing tile if it’s compatible.

To place a tile, click the left mouse button. If you find that an Improvement tile has no suitable location, you can discard it by right-clicking with the mouse.

Deck Management: Your deck has a limited number of tiles, but if your city progresses in science, you'll be rewarded with an additional 10 cards.

Developer’s Note:

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to complete everything I had planned. Some mechanics are present in the game but have been temporarily disabled. I also underestimated the time needed for graphics, allocating only 6 hours—apologies for that. I’ll continue working on the game alongside the judging phase, aiming to release the full version I envisioned by the end of the jam, when the final evaluations are made.

Good luck, and enjoy building your CityTiles empire!
